The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for:
Review and approve all required medical and behavioral health forms.
Meet and communicate with families of origin, guardians, foster families and caseworkers Provide clinical supervision of medical and behavioral health staff according to scope of practice.
Assure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, including those of NYSED when necessary Oversees all regularly scheduled treatment team meetings related to youth progress in care Coordinates with the consulting psychiatrist to assure high quality diagnostic services on a timely basis Participates in the agency's Performance Quality Improvement team for oversight and recommendations Direct supervision of clinical and nursing departments, including ancillary positions.
Emergency medical and behavioral health consultation services Utilizes interventions drawn from evidence-based psychotherapeutic Requirement:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, marriage and family therapist or mental health counselor, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician/Psychiatrist Minimum 5 years of previous experience working with children and families Familiarity with OCFS and Justice Center Regulations preferred Previous supervisory experience Previous experience in medical of mental health field preferred Additional benefits include Agency paid:

Summary:
The director of clinical services will be a licensed clinical social worker who provides oversight and supervision within their scope of practice to nursing and licensed behavioral health practitioners.
This position reports to the Chief Program Officer.
