CASAC Counselor
Provides assessment, counseling, case management, and other substance use disorders treatment to meet the needs of addictions treatment clients.
Responsibilities:
Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Co-Occurring Disorders (COD) screening and assessments
SUD Diagnostic Impression
Treatment planning
Intake and orientation of new patients
Facilitator of group and individual meetings and family
Reporting and documentation in patients file, record keeping
Psycho-Education to patient
Determines Level of Care (LOC) based on LOCADTR (Level of Care for Alcohol and Drug Treatment Referral)

Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
Demonstrates evidence of working at least 2-3 years in a chemical dependency setting.
Training/License:
Current NYS License, CASAC Other:
De-escalation training, Supporting Recovery with Medications Treatment (MAT) course, preferred or to be completed within one year of employment Recommended Skills Assessments Substance Dependence Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
